Construction Industry Council meets tomorrow

    The following is issued on behalf of the Construction Industry Council:

     The Construction Industry Council (CIC) will meet tomorrow (December 20) at 2.30pm in Room 1201, 12/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.

     The agenda items include:

(1) Third progress report of the Committee on Manpower Training and Development;

(2) Fourth progress report of the Committee on Construction Site Safety;

(3) Fifth progress report of the Committee on Environment and Technology;

(4) Publicity materials for amalgamation of CIC and Construction Industry Training Authority (CITA);

(5) Code of Conduct for members of CIC and its committees;

(6) Taking over of bank, bonds and securities account from CITA after amalgamation;

(7) Programme of activities and estimates for the Financial Year 2008;

(8) Appointment of auditor for preparing audited account for CITA for the Financial Year 2007;

(9) Proposed staffing structure of CIC after amalgamation with CITA;

(10) Fifth progress report of the Committee on Administration and Finance.

     The public is welcome to observe the proceedings of the meeting. Due to the physical constraints of the venue, seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

     The discussion on the last five items will not be open to the public in view of privacy and commercial sensitivity.
