The Labour Department will hold a two-day exhibition on the Employment Ordinance and the Wage Protection Movement (WPM) in Siu Sai Wan starting tomorrow (December 8) to enhance public understanding of the ordinance and WPM.
The exhibition will feature the main provisions of the ordinance, the rights and benefits of full-time and part-time workers and foreign domestic helpers, the differences between employees and self-employed persons, various family-friendly employment practices, and the advantages of using written employment contracts.
Information on the WPM will be displayed and the related publications and souvenirs will also be distributed.
The exhibition will be held on the second floor, Siu Sai Wan Shopping Centre, Siu Sai Wan, Hong Kong, from 10.30am to 6.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition. Admission is free.
