The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, presented honours and awards to 269 recipients at the annual ceremony at Government House today (October 27).
Among the recipients, four received the Grand Bauhinia Medal, eight the Gold Bauhinia Star, 24 the Silver Bauhinia Star, 46 the Bronze Bauhinia Star, and eight the Distinguished Service Medals for Disciplined Services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).
Seventeen Medals for Bravery - two Gold (one was a family member of a recipient), six Silver and nine Bronze - were also presented.
Meanwhile, 43 people were awarded Meritorious Service Medals for Disciplined Services and the ICAC, 58 the Medal of Honour, 42 the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service and 19 the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service.
The 2007 Honours List was issued earlier on July 1.
