The Home Affairs Department, Lions Clubs International District 303 HK and Macau, China, and the Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions have jointly organised the "18 Districts Loveable Sights" Drawing Competition to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Officiating at the opening ceremony of the drawing competition at the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre today (April 1), the Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, said the Government would launch a series of large-scale campaigns to celebrate the HKSAR 10th Anniversary. The "18 Districts Lovable Sights" Drawing Competition is one of the celebration activities.
She said, "Each of the 18 districts has its own characteristics. With their artistic talents, I believe participants will be able to portrait these features on their work."
Mrs Tan called on the public to actively take part in the 10th Anniversary celebration activities so as to share the joy of the memorable occasion.
Each district will organise its own drawing competition in 18 different venues in April.
