Photography enthusiasts are reminded that entries to Category A, "Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong", one of the three categories of the "Spring Blossoms for Celebration" Photo Competition, will close on March 7.

The photo competition is one of the major activities of the annual Hong Kong Flower Show. The flower show will run from March 16 to 25 in Victoria Park, from 9am to 9pm daily, featuring Geranium as the theme flower.

Entrants in Category A "Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong" may enrol in person at any Leisure and Cultural Services Department Leisure Link Outlets by March 7.

Entry fees are $30 for adults and $15 for students, senior citizens and people with a disability. Enrolments will be on a first come first served basis with a maximum 1,000 entrants.

Category A, comprising Open and Student Sections, will hold its shooting session from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on March 15 in Victoria Park.

For Category B, "Flowers", and Category C, "Snapshots", it is not necessary to apply in advance. However, entrants are required to pay admission fees for entering the showground during the show period. Photographs must be related to the Hong Kong Flower Show 2007 and taken at the showground of Hong Kong Flower Show 2007 during the show period.

In each category, there will be first prize, second prize, third prize and a number of commendations. Results of the competition will be announced on the department website at www.lcsd.gov.hk in late May. Winners will be notified in writing for collection of prizes. All winning entries will be put on display at Kowloon Park Green Education and Resource Centre and Arcade in June and July. Photos of the winning entries will also be uploaded onto the department website at the same time.
