The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Olympian City on Friday (March 2), providing more than 1,600 vacancies for job-seekers.
Fifteen companies from the catering and retail sectors will set up counters for on-the-spot recruitment.
The vacancies cover such positions as shop supervisor, branch director, sales, shop assistant, customer service officer, cook, waiter, and cleaner.
About 85% of the vacancies offered are for full-time jobs, with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $8,000. More than 95% of the vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. About 60% of the vacancies are open to job-seekers without relevant experience. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.
In addition, the Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at Central Atrium, ground floor, Olympian City 2, 18 Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon. Admission is free.
