The third quarter 2006 issue of the Quarterly Supplement to Statistical Digest of the Services Sector is published by the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) today (January 25).
This issue of the Quarterly Supplement provides some up-to-date quarterly statistics (from the second quarter of 2005 to the third quarter of 2006) on the 14 major service industries/domains of Hong Kong presented in the Statistical Digest of the Services Sector.
Besides, two feature articles are also included in this issue. The article on "Import and Export Trade" describes the development of the import and export trade during 1995 to 2005 and its recent performance. Another article on "The Banking Industry in Hong Kong" depicts the business performance of the banking industry during 2001 to 2006 and its development in renminbi business.
Users can download this publication free of charge at the "Statistical Bookstore, Hong Kong" (www.statisticalbookstore.gov.hk) of C&SD.
The print version of this publication can be purchased in the following ways :
(i) Purchase in person at the Publications Unit of the C&SD (Address : 19/F Wanchai Tower, 12 Harbour Road, Wan Chai; Tel.: 2582 3025). The price is HK$44 per copy.
(ii) Complete a mail order form which is available for downloading from the website of C&SD (www.censtatd.gov.hk/products_and_services/other_services/provision_of_stat/mail_ordering_of_publications/index.jsp) and return it to C&SD. Price (excluding postage) is the same as above.
(iii) Purchase online at the Statistical Bookstore or the Government Bookstore of the Information Services Department (www.isd.gov.hk/eng/bookorder.htm). Print version if purchased online is offered a discount and is sold at 85% of the original price. After discount, the price (excluding postage) is $37.4 per copy.
