Valentine's Day gift sets by Post (with photos)
***********************************************

A selection of charming gifts for Valentine's Day was now available, Hongkong Post announced today (January 23).

Two special gift sets - "Ai Bear" and "Valentine's Hug"- are available for mail order at all post offices in the territory or online at ShopThruPost (www.shopthrupost.hk) until February 8. The "Ai Bear" is a tray made by Mikimoto, the reputable Japanese jewellers. Crafted to incorporate a luminous pearl, this collectible tray is a special demonstration of care for loved ones. The written form of Japanese "Ai" means "love", which is especially fitting for the Valentine's season. "Valentine's Hug" consists of two teddies hugging each other, representing long-lasting love.

Each order comes with a special greeting card to which Hongkong Post will add a personalised touch by affixing a label carrying the buyer's written message. In addition, to preserve the memorable moments of love, each order will also come with an exclusive discount coupon with which Heartwarming Stamps II (local postage) can be ordered at $56.50 per pane. The minimum order quantity is five panes.

The gift sets with greeting cards will be delivered to local recipients on Valentine's Day, February 14, for orders placed on or before February 8. "Ai Bear" and "Valentine's Hug" retail at $398 and $198 respectively, including the Valentine's Day Local CourierPost delivery charge.

The Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development), Mr Dan Choi, said that as the season of love approached, Hongkong Post was lending a helping hand with gift sets and a special local delivery service on Valentine's Day.

"We are pleased to provide people with an opportunity to express their innermost feelings to a loved one by personalising the message on a greeting card and preparing their own Heartwarming Stamps for sharing later."

"This will be a unique and romantic way to show how much you care on this special day."

If loved ones are in Mainland China, bouquets and floral arrangements from the Hong Kong/Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service can also be choices for Valentine's Day gifts. These gift sets are priced from $288 to $1,128, inclusive of delivery charges to more than 2,000 cities on the Mainland. For a surcharge of only $80, time-specific service, gift sets can be delivered to recipients in Mainland China on February 14. Mail order for the Valentine's Day specific service is also available from now to February 8 at all post offices and online at ShopThruPost (www.shopthrupost.hk).

"In view of last year's overwhelming response, we urge people to please place orders as early as possible so as to avoid a last minute rush or disappointment if stocks run out before the last date for ordering," Mr Choi said.
