********************************************************

Jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE), and supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and Seoul Metropolitan Government, a free outdoor Asia Ethnic Cultural Performance will be held on December 17 (Sunday) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza from 2.30pm to 5pm.

There will be Samulnori, Taekwondo Demonstration, Sword Dance, Janggu Dance, Concerted Music, Percussion, Break Dance and Cheer Leading Squad presentation.

Samulnori originated from the farmers music, basically means "four instruments".  Dressed in traditional costume, performers make irresistible rhythms with these instruments.  It will be performed by the Hanmaeum Samulnori, a Korean group living in Hong Kong.

People can also enjoy the internationally renowned Korea National Taekwondo Demonstration Team's original show of Taekwondo.

With superb power, diversity and moving beat, the Puripae Performing Art Group defines Fusion Percussion, re-creating Korean folk music with the contemporary taste.

Sword Dance, Janggu Dance and Concerted Music will also be presented by the Chongdong Theatre in the event.

Sweeping countless b-boy competitions and performing at venues worldwide, Gambler Crew will demonstrate their explosive energy in the Break Dance.

Incorporating traditional Korean culture into contemporary cheers and events, LINES Cheer Leading Team from the Sangmyung University will add colour to outdoor performances.
