Appointments to the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents

    The Government announced today (November 17) appointments to the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents (ACTA).

     Eight existing non-official members have been re-appointed. They are Mr Winston Chow Wun-sing; Mr Ronnie Ho Pak-ting; Mr Keung Chok-kung; Ms Connie Lau Yin-hing; Mr Lee Yuen-kwong; the Hon Sin Chung-kai, JP; Dr Dennis Sun Tai-lun, BBS, JP and Mr Joseph Tung Yao-chung, JP.

     Three new members, Ms Sylvia Chung Wai-man; Mr Edward Kwan Pak-chung and Mr Tommy Li Ying-sang, JP have been appointed to replace Mr Kwong Kwok-wai; Mr Peter Lee Shung-tak, BBS, JP and Mr Patrick Yeung Kai-cheung who have served the ACTA for six years.  

     The term of office for the appointments will be for two years from November 19, 2006 to November 18, 2008.

     "We are grateful to the retiring members for their valuable contribution to the work of the committee over the past six years. We look forward to working with ACTA members to further develop the travel trade for the benefit of the travelling public and inbound visitors," a Government spokesman said.
