Drainage improvement works to be carried out in northern HK Island

    The Government will carry out construction of a drainage outfall of the Hong Kong West drainage tunnel at the foreshore of Cyberport.

     The works, affecting about 8,970 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed, will involve the placing of a protective layer of armour rock and the provision of a temporary pier for delivery of material and plant.

     The works are scheduled to begin in 2007 for completion by 2012.

     A notice describing the extent of area affected is published in the Government Gazette today (August 18).

     The notice together with a related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site. The plan can also be inspected at the Lands Department's Survey and Mapping Office, 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road and Southern District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Ocean Court, 3 Aberdeen Praya Road, Aberdeen.

     Any person who has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved can submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, on or before October 18, 2006.
