Tax reform consultation publications available to public tomorrow

   The Financial Secretary, Mr Henry Tang, will announce the launch of a public consultation on proposed reform to broaden Hong Kong's tax base tomorrow (July 18).

    The full text of the consultation document and related leaflets will be uploaded to the website (www.taxreform.gov.hk) at 10am.

    Copies of the consultation document will be available, while stocks last, at 20 Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department at 10am.

    Copies of the leaflet, "Tax Reform and Households" highlighting key proposals will also be available for collection from 10am to 7.30pm tomorrow at the following 12 Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and eight Kowloon-Canton Railway stations, while stocks last.

* 12 MTR stations: Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tai Koo, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Kwai Fong, Tsuen Wan, Po Lam and Tsing Yi;

* Five East Rail stations of the Kowloon-Canton Railway: Hung Hom, Kowloon Tong, Sha Tin, Tai Wo and Sheung Shui;

* Three West Rail stations of the Kowloon-Canton Railway: Nam Cheong, Tin Shui Wai and Tuen Mun.
