Aggreko adds Hong Kong to its Asia network
******************************************

Aggreko plc, a global leader in rental of power, temperature control services and oil-free compressed air systems, today (May 24) announced the opening of its second depot in Asia. Located in Yuen Long, the new depot will provide temporary power generation and load testing services to Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.

Managing Director of Aggreko Asia, Mr Ian Rogers, was enthusiastic about the company's expansion in Hong Kong. He said, "Both Hong Kong and Mainland China have experienced tremendous economic growth in recent years. In Hong Kong, the majority of GDP comes from service sectors -- shipping, civil aviation, tourism and various financial services. Ranking fourth in the world for GDP, China is the fastest growing major economy," he said.

"With the new depot in Hong Kong, Aggreko can now extend its specialised services offering to the Hong Kong and Mainland markets. Setting up here represents a natural progression of our business in Asia. The shipping, construction, manufacturing, and event sectors in Hong Kong provide both power generation and temperature control opportunities for our company."

According to Mr Rogers, the Hong Kong operation will complement the existing Aggreko Asian networks in Singapore and Shanghai, enhancing service capability in the region.

"We are always looking for opportunities to expand our existing operations or to establish ourselves in new markets. Asia is a particularly interesting market and one where we expect to further extend our operations in the future," Mr Rogers concluded.

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr John Rutherford, congratulated Aggreko on its regional expansion and is delighted that the company has made Hong Kong the base for its regional operations.

"With the rapid economic development and vibrant business environment in Hong Kong and the region, Aggreko is well poised to tap the immense opportunities by establishing a strategic foothold in Hong Kong," Mr Rutherford said. "By adding Hong Kong to its Asia network, Aggreko can now enjoy the advantages of a low and simple tax regime, world-class infrastructure, a skilled and committed workforce, and strong links with the Mainland. I wish Aggreko all the best in its future development in Hong Kong and beyond."

Headquartered in Scotland, Aggreko is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Last year it served customers in 80 countries from a wide variety of industries, including shipping, oil and gas, utility, construction, manufacturing and events. The company employs more than 2,000 people operating from over 100 locations in 28 countries. For more information, please visit its website, www.aggreko.com.
