Teachers, students and parents will have a better understanding of the piloting Career-oriented Curriculum (COC) courses to be offered in the next school year by visiting the COC Expo 2006 to be organised by the Education and Manpower Bureau at the Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre from tomorrow (May 5) until Sunday (May 7).
Nine course providers offering piloting COC courses will provide information about their courses and give talks to visitors.
Details of the expo are as follows:
Venue: West Block, Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre
19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon
(Kowloon Tong MTR Station, Exit D or E)
Date: May 5 to 7 (Friday to Sunday)
Time: 9am to 5pm
The course providers include Caritas Adult and Higher Education Service, City University of Hong Kong (School of Continuing and Professional Education), The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians Limited, The Hong Kong Institute of Education (Division of Continuing Professional Education), HKUST College of Lifelong Learning of The Hong Kong University of Science and technology, The Open University of Hong Kong (Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education), The University of Hong Kong (HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education) and Vocational Education Council.
Piloting COC courses starting September, 2006, will cover the following six areas :
* Applied Science
* Business, Management and Law
* Creative Studies
* Engineering and Production
* Media and Communication
* Services
