Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O on April 22 in which a 25-year-old man subsequently died.
About 3.40am, the man was driving a light goods vehicle (LGV) along Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Road heading for Wan Po Road. When reaching near the exit of the tunnel, the LGV reportedly lost control and hit the left side barrier. The vehicle overturned and the driver was thrown onto the opposite lane. A 26-year-old male passenger was slightly injured.
The driver and passenger were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where the driver was certified dead at 1.51am on April 23.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are proceeding.
