The Land Registry has produced the 38th edition of the Index of Streets, House Numbers and Lots in Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Kowloon (the Street Index) and the 7th edition of the New Territories Lot/Address Cross Reference Table (CRT) on compact discs for convenient retrieval.
The Street Index and the CRT are designed to make land searches of properties easy by correlating available property addresses and buildings with land lot numbers. The new editions go on sale on Friday (April 28).
Since the 37th edition of the Street Index, 642 amendments have been made and 5 new streets and 59 new lots/sections/subsections have been added to the Street Index data. As for the CRT, 5,166 amendments have been made and 12 new streets and 1,328 new lots/sections/subsections have been added since the 6th edition.
The Street Index and the CRT each costs $250 per compact disc.
Licences for the use of the 38th edition of Street Index and the 7th edition of CRT compact discs on computer networks are also available for sale at the same time. Licence fees are HK$2,000 and HK$4,000 for computer networks linked with less than 50 terminals and 50 terminals or more respectively.
Purchasers must first complete the order forms, which are available at the information counter of the Customer Centre (19/F, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong), the seven New Territories Search Offices, the Land Registry's homepage (http://www.landreg.gov.hk), or by fax through the Customer Services Hotline 3105 0000.
The compact discs and licences for the Street Index and CRT will be available for sale at the Customer Centre on 19th floor, Queensway Government Offices.
