The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will leave for Hainan Province on Thursday (April 20). He will lead a delegation of government officials and local business leaders to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2006.
The theme of the conference is "Asia Searching for Win-Win: New Opportunities for Asia".
Mr Tsang will join a welcome dinner on April 21. He will attend the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum annual conference at which the Vice President, Mr Zeng Qinghong, will deliver a keynote speech on Saturday morning (April 22). The Chief Executive will address a luncheon on the same day.
Government officials accompanying Mr Tsang at the conference include the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph Wong; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr John Tsang; the Acting Director of the Beijing Office, Mr Patrick Nip; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mrs Jessie Ting; the Information Co-ordinator, Mr Andy Ho; the Chief Executive's Senior Special Assistant, Mr Chan Kin-ping and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Donald Chen.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on April 24. During Mr Tsang's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Rafael Hui, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
