The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to submit applications to operate stalls during Phase VIII of the Arts Fun Fairs at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park.
The Arts Fun Fairs will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays from June 4, 2006 to May 27, 2007.
There will be 30 and 20 stalls respectively at the loggias of Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) for displaying and selling recreational, art and cultural-related souvenirs as well as pre-packed traditional snacks. Services such as painting, photography, calligraphy and sketching will also be on offer.
Applications will be considered by the LCSD's Arts Fun Fair Stalls Vetting Panel according to the quality and variety of products, food or services provided.
Each successful applicant is required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a deposit of $1,000. The deposit will be refunded upon completion of the contract period on condition that the stall operator's attendance is 60% or above.
Prospective stall owners are also required to deposit a public liability insurance policy of a minimum amount of $6.5 million for the contract period.
Application forms are available starting from tomorrow (April 7) at Kowloon Park Management Office, 1/F, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon and Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office, 7/F, Un Chau Street Municipal Services Building, 59 to 63 Un Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.
Completed application forms should be submitted together with copies of any proof of professional knowledge in respective fields and at least three samples of work or products before 5.30pm on April 24.
