Fatal fire in Shatin

    A charred body was found at the scene of a No. 1 alarm fire broke out in Shatin this afternoon (March 14).

     The fire broke out at 1.25pm at a domestic unit on the 27th floor of block 2, Jubilee Garden, Shatin.

     Firemen used two jets and mobilised two breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze, which was put out by firemen at 2.30pm.

     Firemen evacuated about fifty residents to place of safety.

     Initial reports said that there were no suspicious circumstances.
