Temporary traffic arrangements for tram track renewal works in Central district from this Saturday

     The Transport Department (TD) today (January 10) reminded the public that to facilitate tram track renewal works in Central district, a section of the slow lane of Pedder Street near Des Voeux Road Central will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from about 2pm this Saturday (January 13) to 6am on January 15 (Monday) or until the above work is completed.

     Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

     The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Pedder Street and Des Voeux Road Central will be relatively congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey in advance and allow sufficient time to cater for unexpected delays, and stay alert to the latest traffic news through the media.
