The spokesperson of Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) gave the following update today (June 28) regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of patients with Multi-Drug Resistant Acinetobacter (MDRA) in a mixed Medicine and Geriatrics ward:
The hospital has continued with the screening procedures and confirmed one more 58-year-old male patient as having MDRA. He is now hospitalised under medical surveillance and isolation with stable condition.
The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow-up. The hospital will continue the enhanced infection control measures and closely monitor the situation.
