Hongkong Post today (January 28) announced that following the approval of the Post Office (Amendment) Regulation 2015 by the Legislative Council, with effect from February 1 the rates of 14 postal fees under the Post Office Regulations (Cap. 98A) (including the annual fees for private box and private bag services and the recorded delivery fee for postal packets) will be adjusted to cover the cumulative inflation since the respective last adjustments, the rates and service conditions of three postal fees (i.e. the fee for redirection of postal packets, the fee for a new licence of the Business Reply Service and the fee paid by the senders for cash on delivery parcels) will be revised, and a new licence fee will be introduced for the Freepost services. The Post Office (Amendment) Regulation 2015 was published in the Gazette on October 30, 2015.
