Police are investigating a homicide and suicide case in Ma On Shan yesterday (September 5) in which a 52-year-old man and his two sons, aged ten and eight, certified dead.
About 3.35pm yesterday, a 38-year-old woman made a report to the Police that she was unable to contact her husband and two sons and no one answer the door at the trioï·¿s residence in Kam Nga House, Kam Ying Court.
Police sped to the scene and found the 52-year-old husband and the two sons, aged ten and eight, of the woman lying unconsciously in the unit. A basin with burnt charcoal was found nearby.
The man and the two boys were certified dead at scene.
Upon initial investigations, Police suspected that the 52-year-old man committed suicide with his 8-year-old son by burning charcoal after killing his 10-year-old son at an earlier time.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of their deaths.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sha Tin District are under way.
