The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:
The Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats 2014 closed today (August 12). All of the 2 160 flats were sold and the last successful applicant signed the Agreement for Sale and Purchase today.
A total of 1 296 Green Form (GF) applicants and 864 White Form (WF) applicants successfully purchased flats under the current sale exercise.
After the respective Occupation Permits for the buildings concerned are issued, the appointed solicitors of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) will notify the purchasers in writing to complete the remaining conveyancing formalities and pay the balance of the purchase price within a specified period of time. In case there is rescission of Agreement for Sale and Purchase before completion of the Assignment, the HA will follow past practice and put up the rescinded flat(s), if any, for sale in future sale exercises.
The next sale exercise, involving about 2 700 HOS flats, will be launched in early 2016.
