Two Legislative Council (LegCo) Members conducted a site visit today (July 27) to the pedestrian connection facilities between the West Kowloon Terminus (WKT) of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link and the adjoining developments to follow up on matters relating to the planning, design and management of the pedestrian facilities.
Accompanied by representatives of the Highways Department, the Lands Department, the MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) and the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, Members walked along a number of pedestrian facilities around WKT, including the Jordan Road Temporary Footbridge and the public corridor at the topside property developments of Kowloon Station.
Members also received a briefing on the exterior design of the original Jordan Road Footbridge to be reprovisioned after the completion of construction of WKT.
Members who participated in the site visit included Dr Priscilla Leung (convener) and Dr Helena Wong.
