The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (July 6) that the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Swimming Pool in Central and Western District has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces in the training pool and a small amount of vomitus in the main pool.
The training pool and the main pool will be reopened at 6pm and 6.45pm today respectively.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep our swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
