The Road Safety Council (RSC) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) Radio 5 jointly held the Elderly Pedestrian Safety Happy Classroom event yesterday (July 2) at Studio S1 of RTHK.
The Chairman of the Road Safety Campaign Committee, Dr Eric Cheng; the Head of Radio 5, RTHK, Miss Wendy Lee; and the Chief Inspector, Road Safety Unit, Traffic Branch Headquarters, Hong Kong Police Force, Ms Lilian Ho, were invited as the officiating guests of the event.
Mr Chen Wing-hong of the RSC Secretariat in partnership with DJ Siu-sun of RTHK delivered the Elderly Pedestrian Road Safety message to Senior Police Call (SPC) members. Representatives of SPC from 19 Police Districts were appointed as the Elderly Pedestrian Road Safety Ambassadors and they will go to elderly centres to show their support to the participants of the Elderly Pedestrian Road Safety Competition.
