The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, continued his visit to Beijing today (June 10).
In the morning, he called on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and briefed officials on the progress of the Hong Kong-Guangdong collaboration in promoting cleaner production.
In the afternoon, Mr Wong met with representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection to exchange views on a variety of issues including regional environmental improvement and the development of green industry.
During the meetings, Mr Wong took the opportunity to learn more about the future development of relevant policies under the National 13th Five-Year Plan. He will depart for Hong Kong in the evening.
