Police will implement special traffic arrangements on March 1 (Sunday) to facilitate the holding of Sha Tin Festival Lantern Parade 2015.
The following road closures and traffic diversion will be implemented between 2pm and 6pm:
A. Road closures
- Westbound Yuen Wo Road between Sha Tin Rural Committee Road and Fo Tan Road;
- Lane closure of southbound Sha Tin Rural Committee Road between Yuen Wo Road and Tai Chung Kiu Road; and
- Lane closure of eastbound Tai Chung Kiu Road between Sha Tin Rural Committee Road and Garden Rivera.
B. Traffic diversion
During the closure of westbound Yuen Wo Road between Sha Tin Rural Committee Road and Fo Tan Road, vehicles along westbound Yuen Wo Road heading for Sha Tin Central will be diverted to westbound Tai Po Road or westbound Tai Chung Kiu Road.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
