The following is issued on behalf of the Working Group on Ethnic Affairs of Yau Tsim Mong District Council and Yau Tsim Mong South Area Committee:
The Yau Tsim Mong District Ethnic Cultural Show 2015 will be staged at Kowloon Park Piazza, Tsim Sha Tsui, from noon to 6pm on March 1 (Sunday). Various ethnic groups will show their talents and offer the public a series of performances. Members of the public are invited to participate in this activity free of charge.
The opening ceremony of the Ethnic Cultural Show will start at 3pm. In addition to a dragon dance, lion dance, drama and face-changing, there will be booth games, handicraft making, lucky draws and photo opportunities with people wearing unique national costumes for the public to appreciate the art and culture of different ethnic groups.
With a view to promoting racial harmony, mutual communication and understanding of the ethnic groups in Yau Tsim Mong District, the Working Group on Ethnic Affairs of Yau Tsim Mong District Council (Working Group) maintains close contacts with ethnic group organisations and provides a variety of activities for residents of different ethnic origins to participate in.
The event is co-organised by the Working Group and Yau Tsim Mong South Area Committee, sponsored by the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, and assisted by the Yau Tsim Mong District Office.
