The 2013 Basic Law Souvenir Design Competition for the industrial, commercial and professional sectors has successfully concluded. The awards presentation ceremony was held this afternoon (May 7) at the Trade and Industry Department Tower.
This competition was organised by the Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors under the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee. The Hong Kong Design Centre and the Hong Kong Designers Association are the Co-organiser and the Supporting Organisation of the competition respectively. The competition aimed to enhance interest in and understanding of the Basic Law among the sectors and the community at large, as well as to promote creative designs.
The winner was Mr Rayo Wong. The first runners-up were Mr Chan Chi-wai and Ms Wu Sim-lai, while the second runner-up was Mr Jasper Man.
"We are glad to see that the participants have embraced the elements of the Basic Law in their creative designs. The Working Group will continue to organise various promotional activities with a view to further enhancing the understanding of the Basic Law among the industrial, commercial and professional sectors," the Working Group's spokesman said.
