Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau in the small hours of today (May 1) in which a 23-year-old man died.
  
     About 2.50am, a private car driven by the 23-year-old man was traveling along Ho Sheung Heung Road towards Castle Peak Road䤰Kwu Tung, while a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 53-year-old man was traveling along Ho Sheung Heung Road towards Ho Sheung Heung. When reaching near Po Lau Road, the private car reportedly collided with the MGV.
  
     Sustaining serious injuries to his head and arms, the 23-year-old man was certified dead at scene. A 21-year-old female passenger of the private car sustained injuries to her head and chest and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in semi-conscious state. Two male passengers of the private car, aged 22 and 23, sustained neck and chest injuries and were rushed to North District Hospital in conscious state.
  
     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are underway.
