EPD invites electric taxi/vehicle suppliers to briefing session on setting up quick chargers at government car parks
************************************************************

The Environmental Protection Department today (February 10) invited electric taxi/vehicle suppliers to attend a briefing session on setting up quick chargers for electric taxis at government car parks.

The Chief Executive announced in the 2014 Policy Address the launch of a pilot scheme to enable electric taxi suppliers to set up quick chargers in car parks administered by the Transport Department to facilitate the expansion of the electric taxi fleet. This is part of the ongoing effort of the Government to promote wider use of electric vehicles, which have no tailpipe emissions, for better roadside air quality.

The briefing will be held on February 20 (Thursday) at the Committee Room, Queen Elizabeth Stadium, 18 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai. The Cantonese session will take place from 2.15pm to 3.45pm whereas the English one will run from 4pm to 5.30pm.

Electric taxi/vehicle suppliers who would like to attend the briefing are requested to sign up by phone on 2594 6237 on or before February 17.
