The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) today (November 13) appeals to people who are of B positive blood group to come forward as early as possible to donate blood. The BTS spokesman said that the demand for blood from hospitals has been high, and that the number of blood donation has noticeably dropped recently. To ensure adequate blood supply for patient treatments in hospitals, BTS has to collect an additional 100 units of B positive blood in the coming week to replenish inventories.
