The Hospital Authority (HA) today (May 31) published the biannual issue of the Medication Safety Bulletin (MSB), one of the Authority's regular publications to promote risk management among health-care professionals in public hospitals.
The HA spokesman said, "In this issue, the educational bulletin reminds health-care professionals of the latest medication safety guidelines as well as addressing some common concerns towards the retrieval and updating of patient drug allergy information in the Clinical Management System.
"The bulletin also highlights some good practices to enhance medication safety in medication management and storage observed by the HA Head Office Medication Safety Committee in recent hospital visits."
The publication has already been posted on the Internet for sharing among health-care professionals. Members of the public are also welcome to browse the bulletin using the following link: www.ha.org.hk/msb.0
The MSB is published every six months, on the last Fridays of May and November. The next issue will be published on November 29, 2013.
