Bears showcase districts' uniqueness

To enhance teens' understanding of the communities they live in and develop their sense of belonging, the Hong Kong Design Institute organised the Toy Image DIY Design Competition.
More than 100 secondary students were invited to decorate 18 bear statues, one for each Hong Kong district, to reflect each district's historical changes and unique characteristics.
Ann Chan designed the top-prize-winning Kwun Tong District bear, while Winsum Chan designed the second-prize-winning Wong Tai Sin District bear. The two describe their sources of inspiration in a story that appears today (November 25) on news.gov.hk in both text and video format.
