The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, in the capacity of the Vice-Chairperson of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Co-operation and Promotion Council, will depart for Taipei tomorrow (November 22) to officiate at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Week 2012.
Commencing on November 23, Hong Kong Week 2012 is organised by the Hong Kong-Taiwan Cultural Co-operation Committee and co-organised by the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (Taiwan). The 10-day event, organised by Hong Kong for the first time, will introduce to the Taiwan public the creative works by Hong Kong's cultural and arts sector as well as provide an opportunity for art practitioners and organisations in the two places to communicate and exchange.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on Friday night (November 23).
