The Government announced today (November 15) that Ms Fanny Ho Yin-fee has been appointed as a Full-time Member of the Central Policy Unit.
Ms Ho is an experienced professional in the fields of economics and finance. She has worked in both the public and private sectors including the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Pinnacle Associates Limited and Merrill Lynch. During her service in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Land Fund, her expertise contributed significantly to setting investment strategies for the Land Fund. Ms Ho is also experienced in conducting in-depth studies and analysis on the development of industries and global corporations, including developments in the Mainland.
Ms Ho will assist the Head of the Central Policy Unit, Mr Shiu Sin-por, in advising the Chief Executive, the Chief Secretary for Administration and the Financial Secretary on various public policy issues, in particular economic development strategy, financial development, industry development, and economic co-operation with the Mainland.
The Head of the Central Policy Unit was pleased with the appointment. He believed Ms Ho's professionalism and experience would contribute greatly towards the Unit's work.
