Police today (August 11) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po yesterday (August 10) in which a 22-year-old man died.
At about 9.50pm yesterday, a bus driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling along the Dai Kwai Street towards Ting Kok Road. When reaching the junction of Dai Kwai Street and Dai Li Street, the bus reportedly knocked down the 22-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injury, the man was sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in unconscious state and was then transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.56am today.
The case will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territorries North for further investigations.
