The Legislative Council (LegCo) Secretariat introduces today (June 18) a new mobile webcast service to better serve the public.
The mobile webcast service is an enhanced service of the LegCo Webcasting System that had been launched in October, 2011. It is designed to provide webcast (video and audio) and audiocast (audio only) services via mobile devices connected with the Internet.
Through the new mobile webcast service, members of the public can view or listen to all open meetings of the Legislative Council and its committees held in the Chamber, Conference Room 1, 2A, 2B, 3, 4, 5, and official press conferences held in the Press Conference Room 1A and 1B of the Legislative Council Complex via the internet with smart phone or tablet devices running with iOS (version 4.3 or above) and Android (version 2.3.3 or above).
Same features of existing webcast service are provided in the mobile webcast service including meeting search, live and archived meeting webcast.
Those interested in viewing or listening to the proceedings of open meetings of the Council and its committees as well as official press conferences can access the LegCo Mobile Webcast Service via "webcast.legco.gov.hk/mobile".
