Police today (May 23) charged a 29-year-old man with one count of wounding.
Police arrested 16 people between May 12 and yesterday (May 22) in suspected connection with a wounding case in Cheung Sha Wan on May 11 in which a 45-year-old man was found being assaulted by four to five men armed with knives outside 155 Castle Peak Road. A traffic police officer gave verbal warnings to the culprits but in vain and subsequently fired one shot at one of the culprits who aged 36.
The 29-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday, will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (May 24). The remaining arrestees, aged from 19 to 56, were released on bail pending further enquiries and are required to report back to Police in June.
Active investigation by officers of the Regional Anti-triad Unit of Kowloon West on all possible leads is still on going.
