On the invitation extended by the Hunan Provincial People's Government to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG), the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, will leave for Hunan this morning (May 17) to attend the Expo Central China 2012 and the Expo Central China Summit tomorrow. The theme of this year's Expo is "Opening for rise and green development".
Professor Chan will meet with the Vice Minister of Commerce, Mr Wang Chao, and the Deputy Secretary of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Mr Mei Kebao, on arrival.
On the following day Professor Chan will join an official tour to visit the combined exhibition hall of six provinces of Central China, Hong Kong and Macau before participating in the opening ceremony of Expo Central China on behalf of the HKSARG. He will then attend the Expo Central China Summit before returning to Hong Kong that evening.
