The Marching Band Parade, one of the highlights of the Hong Kong Marching Band Festival 2011, will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza this Wednesday (December 28) from 2pm to 5pm. The programme is jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and the Hong Kong Marching Band Association with free admission.
Joining the parade will be 19 marching band troupes, including bands from local primary and secondary schools as well as marching bands from Nanjing and Japan, bringing energetic music and parade performances to the audiences.
To add colour to the event, four troupes that have taken part in large scale local and worldwide events will also perform in the parade. They are the Hong Kong Youth Marching Band (Blue Sky Regiment), the Hong Kong Junior Marching Band, the Hong Kong Marching Band and the Equator Dragon Drum Corps.
