The Returning Officers (except religious subsector) for the 2011 Election Committee Subsector Elections received a total of 178 nomination forms today (November 9). This brings to 555 the total number of nomination forms received since nominations for the Election Committee Subsector Elections (except District Council subsectors) opened on November 8. The nomination period will end on November 15.
For each subsector and sub-subsector, a poll will be held on December 11 if there is contested election for that subsector and sub-subsector.
No nomination forms were received from the religious subsector today. One nomination form has been received since the start of the nomination period, involving a total of 46 nominees. Nominations for this subsector are returned by six designated bodies.
The breakdown of nominations by subsectors is set out in the annex.
