The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, and the Commissioner for Tourism, Mr Philip Yung, will depart for Taipei tonight (September 5) to attend the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Taipei Office tomorrow (September 6).
The establishment of the HKTB Taipei Office will mark a new era in the board's efforts to promote the tourist attractions and facilities of Hong Kong.
Mr So will also deliver a speech at a celebration luncheon hosted by the HKTB tomorrow. Afterwards, the HKTB will roll out its "Hong Kong Wine and Dine Month" promotion in Taipei to attract Taiwan visitors to attend this annual event in Hong Kong in October.
Mr So and Mr Yung will return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening.
