The following is issued on behalf of the Commission on Youth:
The Commission on Youth (COY) organised an exchange session with youths at the Civic Square, Youth Square, Chai Wan today (August 29). The Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kenneth Chen, attended the session and exchanged views with youths on national education.
Mr Chen said, "The consultation on Moral and National Education Curriculum and implementation details is being carried out by the Curriculum Development Council jointly with the Education Bureau. Comments, and suggestions from the education sector and the community are welcome. Comments collected today will be forwarded to the Ad Hoc Committee on Moral and National Education for discussion with the aim of further refining of the curriculum."
The Chairman of COY, Mr Bunny Chan, said that the Commission would continue to organise exchange sessions and invite government bureau representatives to attend so that youths will have more opportunities to exchange views with them on topics of concern.
