Over the decades, Hongkong Post has continually adapted to changing demands. As the Internet has eaten into the message-delivery business, it has also created new opportunities that Hongkong Post is keen to tap.
Postmaster General Clement Cheung told news.gov.hk that the Internet is creating a huge surge in e-commerce activities. Hongkong Post is working with online shopping and group-buying websites to provide a platform for merchandise delivery and counter collection, and cash-on-delivery services for them. Hongkong Post is also developing other new e-commerce-related business.
