********************************************************

A group of 50 business people in the Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo area today (February 24, Canada time) attended a breakfast workshop on "Doing Business with Hong Kong" conducted by Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), Toronto, in Canada, Ms Maureen Siu, and Director (Canada) of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Mr Andrew Yui.

The workshop, part of the Canada's Technology Triangle (CTT) Inc's Chairman's International Breakfast series, was an information session for companies in the three cities to learn how to tap the Asia-Pacific market through Hong Kong.

Ms Siu spoke on opportunities for trade with Hong Kong businesses, and Mr Yui presented to the audience a valued-added action plan to facilitate business expansion to the Asia-Pacific region.  He also encouraged the participants to take part in the upcoming Canadian ICT Partnering Trade Mission to Hong Kong in April.  The mission is supported by the HKETO and the HKTDC, as well as the Canadian Consulate General in Hong Kong.
