The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair at the Exhibition Gallery, 1/F, Tuen Mun Town Hall, 3 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun, on Thursday and Friday (May 29 and 30) from 11am to 6pm.
A total of 51 companies will participate in the two-day event and offer around 4,200 vacancies. About 25 companies will set up counters each day and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.
Companies joining the job fair come from various industries including retail, catering and property management and security. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as sales, customer service officer, shop assistant, waiter, security guard, technician, shop supervisor, officer and manager and so on. More than 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs and most offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below.
Job seekers may submit job applications and have opportunity for selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot job-seeking registration.
Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
