The Legislative Council Panel on Constitutional Affairs invites interested parties to express their views on the Consultation Document on ä©•Review on the Role, Functions and Composition of District Councilsè’… (the Consultation Document) published by the Government in April 2006. Details of the Consultation Document and related papers can be browsed at the website: www.legco.gov.hk/yr05-06/english/panels/ca/papers/ca_e1a.htm.
The Panel will hold a special meeting on July 11 (Tuesday) at 9am in the Legislative Council Chamber to receive public views. Interested parties who would like to attend the meeting to present their views on the Consultation Document are requested to send their written submissions and the reply slip (to be downloaded from the website: www.legco.gov.hk/general/english/sec/invite_s/ca0711cb2-reply-e.pdf) to the Legislative Council Secretariat by June 30 (Friday).
Interested parties are invited to note that submissions received will be made available to the media and the public and uploaded onto the Legislative Council website unless advised otherwise. Submissions and oral presentations made at the Panel meeting will not be covered by the protection and immunity provided under the Legislative Council (Powers and Privileges) Ordinance.
